Tiger Xie is a sophomore at the University of Nevada, Reno, playing for the Wolf Pack men’s golf team. He grew up in China and moved around for school, studying in Nanjing, Wuxi, Brisbane, and finishing online through a school in Toronto, before playing out of Black Mountain Golf Club and heading to Nevada.
He picked up golf at 7, introduced to the game by his father, and has built himself into a plus-handicap player through the emphasis he’s put on mental game, course management, and fitness since high school. He was ranked among the top 10 junior golfers in China, with his best result coming as runner-up at the Chinese Amateur Open.
