Greg Holmes has graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), where he combined his studies with competing in college golf. Originally from Wigan, England, Greg began his U.S. collegiate golf career at McNeese State University before transferring to UTEP after McNeese discontinued its program.
At UTEP, Greg quickly established himself as a key competitor. He recorded a season-low 69 at the John A. Burns Intercollegiate, was UTEP’s top finisher at the Wyoming Desert Classic with a tie for 25th, and achieved a tie for 29th at the Little Rock Invitational. As a redshirt freshman, he also shot a 69 in the third round of the Conference USA Championship, finishing 35th overall. His performance on the course was matched by his dedication in the classroom, earning him Conference USA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll recognition in 2022.
