Introduction.
Seb Cave is a senior at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he is a leading member of the 49ers men’s golf team. After an impressive start to his collegiate career at UAB, where he was named American Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year and won two individual titles, Seb has continued to build on his success at Charlotte.
In the 2024-25 season, he set the program’s single-season scoring average record at 70.67, finished tied for 12th at the NCAA Regionals, and placed third individually at the AAC Championship to help the 49ers secure the conference title.
In the 2025-26 season, Seb was named American Conference Player of the Week after finishing tied for second at The Hayt, and earned a spot on the American Conference all-conference team for the second year running as one of five Niners selected, the first time Charlotte has had five players honored in the same season since 2006. He helped the 49ers win back-to-back American Conference Championships, finishing tied for 5th individually, before the team competed at the 2026 NCAA Corvallis Regional to close out a 100-33-5 season ranked 19th in the country. He was also named a Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar for the second consecutive year, adding CSC Academic All-District and PING All-Region honors to his list of achievements.
Away from collegiate golf, Seb has also enjoyed major amateur success. He won the prestigious St Andrews Links Trophy and qualified for The Open Championship in 2025, establishing himself as one of the top amateur golfers in the game today.
