Stuart Hemmings, PGA Coach

Twenty years of coaching.

For over 20 years, Stuart has devoted his life as a PGA coach to the development of young aspiring golfers. During his early days as a young assistant at Preston Golf Club, he led the development of their junior development programme which world renowned Australian golfer Adam Scott later complemented with the development of the ‘Adam Scott Trophy’ which is played annually by the juniors. 

Going global.

Between 2005-2008, Stuart coached in North America and Australia. He worked alongside ex-tour players and coaches to some of the finest players on the planet. On his return to the UK and having been inspired by college golf, Stuart developed a golf academy at an independent school in the UK.

Success at St Bees.

Through Stuart’s continued efforts, the golf academy gained traction and started to develop competitive golfers. It proved a natural addition to St Bees, a small independent school on the west coast of Cumbria which was already blessed with its own golf course. He led the school team to become junior national champions. Numerous senior players went on to US colleges and one is now a tour player.

In 2016, Stuart returned to Lancashire to develop another golf academy. This time he would be based at Rossall, an independent school surrounded by some of Britain’s finest golf courses. In only his second year he led the school to becoming senior national champions and ranked 2nd in the country. The following year they became ranked #1, before returning to second position in 2019/20.

Stuart has placed our son twice, the first placement was a perfect fit and he was thriving, but due to unforeseen circumstances the golf program was to be dropped after the spring semester, Stuart stepped in and has placed our son at an even better university to enable his growth.

Day in day out, founder Stuart Hemmings continues to monitor the progress being made by many young aspiring golfers from all around the world. Golfers aged 11 – 18 from countries including Mexico, Germany, Spain, France, China, Japan, Austria, Switzerland, Nigeria, Kenya and more have opted to be educated at Rossall School where they can also develop as golfers under Stuart’s tutelage.

With such knowledge and through the relationships and connections Stuart has developed throughout his career, it comes as no surprise that numerous US college coaches lean on him for advice and feedback when contemplating which players to sign.

Stuart has developed an extensive network of college coaches and a thorough understanding of what they’re looking for. Golfers working with US Bound will enjoy access to all of these contacts and resources in the US, but most importantly will benefit from personal guidance and experience.
