Interview.
What age did you start playing golf and why ?
I started playing golf at the age of four, mainly because my dad played and introduced me to the game. We still play together now, which is something I really enjoy. From a young age, I’ve taken golf quite seriously, but at the same time I’ve always enjoyed it. That combination of enjoyment and competitiveness is what has kept me motivated over the years.
How would you say you have developed as a golfer over the past few years ?
Over the past few years, I’ve developed a lot in all areas of my game. Physically, I’ve gained a lot more distance, which has made a big difference to my scoring. Technically, I’ve worked hard on my swing, transitioning from a draw to a more controlled cut, which has helped with consistency. I’ve also matured a lot on the course, improving my course management and learning to accept bad shots rather than letting them affect the rest of my round.
Who is your favourite golfer and why ?
My favourite golfer is Ludvig Åberg. I really like how simple and efficient his swing is, and the way he carries himself on the course. He has a very calm and composed presence, and everything about his game feels controlled and consistent. It’s a style I try to learn from and apply to my own game.
What do you intend to study and why ?
I’m interested in studying Business, Economics, or Finance. These are subjects I enjoy and feel confident in, and I like that they are very relevant to real life. They offer a good understanding of how things work in the real world and open up a lot of potential career paths, which is something that appeals to me.
Other than golf what else do you enjoy doing and why ?
Outside of golf, I enjoy going to the gym, particularly weight training, as it helps both physically and mentally and also benefits my golf performance. I also value my social life and enjoy spending time with friends, as it helps me switch off and maintain a good balance away from the sport.
