Bio.
Melinda Hsu is a freshman at the University of South Carolina Beaufort, playing for the Sand Sharks women’s golf team. She’s from Taiwan and played out of Black Mountain, having trained at the Junior Asian Golf Academy before college after also spending time at Hills International College in Australia, where she served as a College Prefect.
Melinda only picked up golf at 15, drawn in by watching LPGA events with her dad, and her best amateur result came in 2025 when she won the JAGA Spring Amateur Open Championship at West Lakes Golf Villas. She also finished tied for 6th at both the JAT-NB3 Asian Championship and the JAT-NB3 Elite #5, along with a tied 8th at the GPS Junior Tour.
