What age did you start playing golf and why?

I started playing golf at the age of 4 having initially been inspired by Tom and Jerry playing golf in the cartoons. I was accepted onto the Staffordshire County U14’s Pathway when I was 8 and was part of this until I was 14, and was also part of the winter league for low handicap junior golfers. I have always played golf and have played in numerous club and junior opens across the midlands in this time.

How would you say you have developed as a golfer over the past few years?

In the last 3 years and since joining the Tim Hall School of Golf (Herefordshire) my golf has dramatically improved; this is thanks to my swing coach, Tim Hall, and Zach Galliford, but also because I have dedicated more time and focus in my early teens until now as I want to make a career as a successful professional golfer. I have worked to fix a number of junior issues and have now forged a consistent and stable swing that works for me, as well as playing as much as possible to improve my course management.

Who is your favourite golfer and why?

Tiger Woods has always been my favourite golfer because he was so professional and so much better than everyone else when he played. I was really pleased to see him win the Masters 2019, where he played and managed the course amazingly. I am also a big fan of Seve Ballesteros with an early memory of watching the Seve movie with my dad and grandad at the cinema. I like watching all the great shots he played and also once spoke to his caddy Billy Foster, who is a really nice man, very funny and humble.

What do you intend to study and why?

I want to continue to study sport and sports psychology as I will be at college in the UK, as my interests are in sport as a career, and I also know that sports and facilities are excellent in the US and so I feel this is the best place for me to study and gain more knowledge and experience.

How would you describe yourself? Other than golf what else do you enjoy doing and why?

I enjoy all sports but enjoy playing basketball with friends, but also play in the school team where I have represented the school on a number of occasions. Outside of sport I enjoy playing online games with friends and have created my own YouTube channel where I do videos on games that I play, and I enjoy going to the gym, listening to a variety of music, and catching up with friends.
