Introduction.

I am an ambitious and dedicated golfer with a deep passion for the sport, having played competitively from a young age. I first discovered my love of golf at the age of six, when I joined my dad on the course and quickly realised this was the path I wanted to pursue. Since then, I have committed myself fully to developing my game, combining professional coaching, regular practice, and tournament experience to continually improve my performance.

As part of the West Midlands Regional Squad, and with the support of my coaches, I have progressed in all areas of my game- from refining my techniques to strengthening my mental approach, especially under pressure. My focus, resilience, and determination have been key to my development, and I constantly push myself to reach the highest standards, both on and off the course.

Alongside golf, I have a strong interest in fitness and maintaining an active lifestyle. I am passionate about training at the gym and enjoy hiking, both of which help me build strength, endurance, and mental focus. These activities complement my golf at the highest level.

My goal is to continue developing as a player while pursuing further education in sport. I am excited about the opportunity to combine my academic interests with my passion for golf, and I am fully committed to making the most of every opportunity to progress towards a future career in professional golf.

Interview.

What age did you start playing golf and why ?

From the age of six, I was eager to join my dad on the golf course, which led me to start professional coaching soon after. That early introduction to the sport marked the beginning of my journey, and I have remained fully committed to developing my game ever since.

How would you say you have developed as a golfer over the past few years ?

Through regular coaching and being part of the West Midlands regional squad, I’ve made progress in every area of my game. I continually focus on refining my swing to make it as reliable and efficient as possible. A key strength of mine is my mental approach. I stay focused and resilient, especially in high pressure situations. Playing regularly in top-level tournaments has helped build this mental toughness even further.

Who is your favourite golfer and why ?

My favourite golfer is Rory McIlroy. I really admire his dedication to the sport, the way he plays with passion, and how he handles both victories and setbacks. His ability to stay grounded while consistently performing at the highest level is something I look up to and try to learn from in my own game.

What do you intend to study and why ?

I intend to continue my studies in sports, as I have a real passion for understanding athletic performance and what it takes to succeed in professional sport. I enjoy learning about areas such as coaching, fitness, nutrition, and sports psychology, as these directly support my development as both a golfer and an all rounded athlete. Studying sports will help me gain the knowledge and skills I need to achieve my goals both on and off the course.

Other than golf what else do you enjoy doing and why ?

Aside from golf, I have a real passion for going to the gym and hiking. I enjoy training at the gym as it helps me stay fit, strong, and focused, which benefits both my physical and mental well-being. Hiking allows me to spend time outdoors and appreciate nature, while also challenging myself physically. Both activities complement my golf by keeping me active, motivated, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
